Welcome! Here’s a little bit about me…

I’m a PhD student at York University’s Quantitative Methods program in the Psychology Department. My research primarily focuses on contemporary (and historical) statistical issues within psychology, such as p-hacking, statistical misreporting, and questionable research practices. I am also interested in the teaching of statistics, researchers’ software preferences and attitudes, and open-scientific practices. Outside of my research, I love coding in R, learning about new statistical methods, and developing new skills.

Tools of the Data Detective- A Review of Statistical Methods to Detect Data Anomalies in Psychology

The purpose of this work was to review the various statistical tools that exist to detect potential data fabrication within scientific, empirical papers. This work has now been published in Theory & Psychology.

The ps of the Past- A Historical Review of p-Value Reporting in Psychology

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate trends in p-value reporting across a diverse selection of notable psychology journals, spanning every 5th year from several decades to 2020.
